hairdressing academy was founded in 2008 by a group of women, who started the business with the goal of providing a safe place for women to get professional hair care.
The salon serves clients from around the globe and offers a range of hair care services, from salon haircuts and waxing to personal styling and manicure.
The business is a part of Bainbridge-based hair salon company, the Hairspray.
The owner, Rachel Smith, said the salon was founded on the idea that women can achieve better, more balanced hair while being safe and comfortable at the same time.
She added that the salon has an emphasis on women’s needs and hopes to expand to other markets as well.
“The salon has always been about women.
I always feel like I’m in a space of women.
We are women in the salon.
We know what our hair needs are and how to do it and we also know how to have a good time,” Smith said.
Smith has seen the growth in the business in the past few years and is optimistic that the business will continue to grow.
“It’s really cool.
It’s really changing.
I’ve never seen something like it before,” Smith added.
“I’ve been working at this for four years now.
I haven’t been working in my life like this.
This is the first time I have been working with a client who didn’t ask me for a haircut.”
Smith said that her clients are mostly women who are looking for a hair appointment or an eyebrow lift.
The shop is open seven days a week and offers haircuts, waxing, and styling services.
“We have a small team of salon assistants and a barber, but we also have other barbers and stylists that do the hair,” Smith told The Washington Post.
The company also offers classes and workshops for customers and a salon room.
Smith said she has seen positive feedback from customers who have found the salon to be very professional and that they would like to continue using the service.
“They love the idea of having a salon where they can go to get their hair done and feel comfortable,” Smith noted.
“There is no pressure to look good.
It really is a safe environment.
They have an open, relaxed atmosphere.
I think it’s really awesome that people can relax in a safe space and relax.”
Alyssa Leung, the owner of Bainville Hair Salon in Bainbridge, is also a part-time salon owner.
Leung has worked in the industry for more than five years, starting out as a receptionist before becoming the first salon owner in the state of Maine.
“This is the beginning of a lot of growth.
I have always been a big supporter of women’s rights, and I think that this is just a step in that direction,” Leung said.
“As women get older, we’re all going to want to have hair that’s really healthy, but for us, we are always going to look for the best.
We just want to do what’s best for our customers.”
Leung and Smith said the business is going to expand in the future.
“Our salon is a little bit of an experiment right now.
It is a place that people who don’t have a professional barber can go, and there are women who want to work at this and want to learn,” Smith explained.
“At the same moment, I have a client that has been here for five years.
They want to keep working here.
They are very supportive.
They really care about what we are doing here and how it works.”
